On the quantitative optical properties of Au nanoparticles embedded in biological tissue phantoms

We systematically investigated and quantified how gold (Au) metal nanoparticles (NPs) optical spectra change upon introduction into the biological tissue phantoms environment, in which AuNPs can agglomerate. Quantitative knowledge of plasmon resonance wavelength inside a phantom environment provide many in-vitro in-vivo plasmonic NPs-mediated applications. Because properties NPs are dependent on their size, morphology, concentration, local tuning incident photon may increase properties. Plasmonic photothermal therapy photonic gene circuits among Quantitatively analyzing absorption scattering data, we observe changes peak positions breadths, related to distribution spherical within chitosan as function particle size concentration. The scattered irradiance with for embedded was registered mechanisms, decreasing λ−4 Rayleigh scattering, much more slowly Mie λ−b, b range 1–3.
